From Laura and Brittany at Wilkin Chapman LLP. Brittany recently completed on her new home, sold by us! She shared a little with Laura about her thoughts:

Here at Wilkin Chapman Solicitors we recognise that there are many benefits of buying a new build home in the current market. 

We recently completed a new build purchase for one of our solicitors, Brittany Codling. We asked Brittany for her top 3 reasons for buying a new build home and she advised:
"1. The NHBC 10 year warranty – hopefully means I won’t have to put my DIY skills to use any time soon!
2. Energy efficient
3. Blank canvas"

We loved hearing Brittany's point of view about buying her home, which was recently built! We had to share this not only for the cute photo of her dog, but also the great points she raised about the benefits of buying a newer home. 

Further benefits of buying a new home might include:
- Fewer repairs and unexpected costs as new homes will benefit from being up to standard with their plumbing and electrics
- Modern designs mean that your home may require less decorating to get it the way you would like
- Lower running costs leading on from the home being energy efficient 
- New homes are often built for modern living, leading to less need for reconfiguration

We frequently market newbuild homes, often with just one previous owner, but sometimes brand new! This can allow for part exchange options if you are a homeowner already, or allows you to move into a modern home but without the long waiting times as you wait for your property to be built.
